Natalie Kulichenko is new to Canada’s fashion scene. But she’s definitely no stranger to fashion design.
Born and raised in Ukraine, Kulichenko moved to Israel when she was 20 to pursue her passion for fashion. She graduated from the prestigious Shenkar School of Textile Technology and Fashion, and spent several years creating wedding, evening and graduation gowns in Israel.
At 38 years old, Natalia then moved her family to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 2009 for a better life as well as to gain more popularity with her designs.
Kulichenko’s determination has enabled her to open many doors. She does not duplicate any of her designs. Her designs are influenced by Israeli culture and popular Israeli Fashion Designers such as Danny Mizrahi.
All of Kulichenko’s designs are custom made and the fabrics tend to dictate her designs. Kulichenko says she works with everything from satin to silk to cotton. Sketches are a must for her designs and they are all one-of-a-kind creations.
