In Her Own Words...
"My name is Mamahlape Caroline Matsoso. I am a 19 year old Mosotho girl, beautiful, ambitious, kind hearted and an out-spoken speaker. I am currently doing my 2nd year at the national university of Lesotho studying for a Bachelor’s degree of Geography and Development Studies. I enjoy going shopping, reading romance novels, taking long walks and hanging out with my friends.
I see myself in the next three years as a United Nations Peace Ambassador and the youngest developer in my country. I believe in a quote mother Theresa once wrote that goes “A single positive dream is far more important than a thousand negative realities.” It might mean different things to people but it gave me inspiration that no matter how many mounted obstacles there are, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, and I shall achieve my dreams.
Furthermore, for me Miss World is one of the few opportunities to show case beauty, facial beauty and inner beauty. A pageant that gives young woman a chance to participate in humanitarian opportunities to help people. To help the needy and to help those who are still in the vague to find themselves. To help them be confident about themselves and believe in their beauty of their respective countries. But more importantly one which interacts different cultures into one."
