January 19th Her first interview after handing over the crown

"I have been so busy since handing over the Miss World Crown to Kaiane Aldorino in South Africa. It was such an emotional night, and I will remember it for the rest of my life. I feel very honoured to have been Miss World. Although the year went so quickly, it was definitely the best year of my life.

After the Miss World Final, I stayed in South Africa with my mother. We went to Kruger National Park near Johannesburg and then to Dubai for some shopping, before going back to Russia for Christmas. We had a really great time, relaxing together. My mother had never been on Safari, and she really enjoyed it!

After spending the Christmas holiday at home in Russia, I decided I wanted to visit some places. I went skiing in the French Alps, which was fantastic, visited the beautiful Italian cities of Rome, Milan and Florence, and in a week’s time I will be going to Geneva.

I want to carry on with charity work that I started during my time as Miss World. This is why I’m going to Geneva, I will be visiting The Children’s Smile Foundation to donate $5,000.

Since arriving back in Russia, some top designers from all over the world have contacted me about the possibility of working with them, but I haven't decided what I want to do yet.

I will be modelling a new jewellery collection for the designer who designed my incredible dress at Miss World 2008. Fashion is an exciting area and I always enjoy working with talented designers”.

Ksenia will be making a special appearence at a Miss World event later this year.
