Tonight is the night that the Miss World festival 2012 officially opens with a fantastic ceremony, held at the Dongsheng stadium in Ordos.

The past week has all been building up to this moment. The contestants have been busy with rehearsals, costume fittings, and hair and make-up trials for the past week. This morning was the final run through and excitement was at fever pitch.
