Ines Putri at the Indonesia Open

16 October 2012

Recently returning from representing Indonesia at Miss World 2012, Ines Putri Tjiptadi is gearing up for Ladies Indonesia Golf Open on Thursday 18th October.

Ines, 23, is a promising talent, winning gold and silver medals at the 2004 Pekan Olahraga Nasional event at the age of 15, and was the youngest person ever to compete for the Indonesia National Golf Team. Golf is a great passion of Ines’ and she has aspirations of growing into a major player on the LPGA circuit.

Taking place at the Palm Hill Golf Course in Bogor, West Java, the Indonesian leg of the tour will see 85 players competing over 3 rounds. Asia is currently the dominant force in ladies golf, with 8 of the world’s top 10 playing on the Asian tour, so Ines faces a tough challenge.

The event will be attracting regional coverage on ESPN with highlight shows planned during the tour.

The Miss World Organisation wishes Ines the best of luck.
