Soo Wincci, Malaysia’s representative at Miss World 2008, is set to release her latest Mandarin album before the end of the year. Soo was excited to hear that a track from her yet-to-be-released album was selected to be the theme song for an upcoming Taiwanese drama TV series. Soo said “I am ready to build a name in Taiwan but I also aim to further broaden my following on the local scene.”

It's been a busy year so far for the former Miss World contestant. Appearing on Celebrity MasterChef Malaysia, she reached the penultimate episode of the series, finishing in the top 5. Soo has also been working with OneFM88.1 as a Celebrity DJ. A mini-album in Malay was released last month, and a single featuring local hip-hop star Joe Flizzow has hit the shelves recently. Soo still finds the time to work on her PhD program in business administration at the Open University Malaysia.
