Auction Gift - Lilac Pearl Necklace with Floral Detail

Finland Auction Gift

This is a unique piece of jewellery that has an inspiring story behind it. This beautiful pearl necklace made by the young girl Anna Rukko is specially made for the upcoming Miss World competition held in Sanya China PR. Anna has altogether gathered over 60,000 Euros for the new children's hospital in Helsinki Finland by selling her own made jewellery. She has herself suffered from cancer but defeated it. She wanted to help those going through the same and acted as an inspiring role model. This connects well to my 'Beauty with a Purpose' project which is the new children's hospital 2017. I wanted to tell Anna's story abroad because I think that it is an example of how truly one person can make a difference. As someone wise said "It is better to light one candle than to stay in the darkness". I want to give a special thanks to Anna Rukko, she's a girl with a big heart and courage. I know she's also very excited herself for this great opportunity of her jewellery presented at this very special event.

What’s your current favourite website? I love quotes, especially the inspirational ones.

Grace Kelly, because I’ve admired her style and personality since I was a little child. I think she’s an icon and was an amazing beauty.

What would be your dream job?

To do something meaningful and something that I feel passionate about. To keep working with children and to create my own company.

If you could work with any fashion designer, who would it be and why?

I usually always try to support local designers, because we have great designers here in Helsinki/Finland, but if I could work with any fashion designer it would be Roberto Cavallo; I admire his work.

What item of make-up could you not live without?

Highlighter, but I think that I would be able to survive without it though.

Mac or PC?

Sweet or Savory?

I’m definitely a sweet tooth.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

To cure the world and to bring more happiness and kindness into it.

Which Challenge Events do you feel most confident about?

Beauty with a Purpose. Because I’ve been working on my charity project for some years already, and I feel the work I’m doing is very important.

Why did you enter Miss World?

Being young I felt privileged for being healthy and for getting all the help I needed. So I hope that in the future I will be able to help children to feel secure and to live a happy life as Miss World.
