Current OccupationPrimary Teacher

“I am extremely looking forward to meeting all the Miss World contestants and creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.”

Hannah is a primary school teacher, born and raised in the tiny nation of Gibraltar. Passionate about teaching, she hopes to further her career in teaching, and to potentially educate children in Third World countries. She also hopes to learn Italian, which would make her trilingual. In her spare time Hannah likes to keep fit, to practice photography, and to model. Musically she loves all things pop, especially if there’s a chance of dancing! She is also enthusiastic about animals, volunteering at her local RSPCA centre when she was younger, and she has a pet Chihuahua called Mylo.

“Gibraltar is like a melting pot of cultures. It is a place where people from all different cultures and backgrounds are able to mix together and live in harmony, despite Gibraltar’s small size.”

Designer dress - Dorcas Hammond

This Dorcas Hammond evening gown features a transparent bodice, made with embroidered and beaded tulle. The long sleeved design has a deep plunging V neck giving off a sleek vibe before falling into a crepe satin fishtail skirt with a train following behind.

Dorcas Hammond was born in Gibraltar. As from the age of 18, she was creating designs and making them for clients from home. In 1991 she opened her first workshop in Gibraltar.  Here her real career began, making exclusive designs, for pageant gowns, mother of the bride and bridal gowns.  After many years of designing gowns for contestants at the Miss World pageant, she dressed Kaiane Aldorino Miss Gibraltar and Miss World 2009 with her evening gown and our National costume which is still used today.
