22 year-old Mianette Broekman was crowned Miss World New Zealand 2011 at the Miss New Zealand 2011 finals held at the Alexandria Park Function Centre in Auckland. Mianette is a graduate of political science from the University of Auckland and currently in her 2nd year of law. Mianette won a total of four special awards in addition of New Zealand's most coveted beauty title. She won the Top Model and Beach Beauty fast tracks and received the awards of Best National Costume and Best Evening Gown. She received the crown from Stephanie Dods and Magdalena Schoeman, Miss World New Zealand 2007 and 2009 respectively. |
