May 18th Miss World presents Variety awards

Today Miss World Kaiane Aldorino was invited to the 2010 annual PROPS Awards in aid of Variety the Children's Charity.

It was the 19th Variety PROPS Awards and all monies raised will be going towards new electric wheelchairs for disabled children.

The lunchtime event was presented by comedian Omid Djlili while Miss World gave out the awards to the winners. It is estimated that an amazing $600,000 was raised.

The lifetime achievement award went to Sol Kerzner. Video tributes from Julia Morley and Nelson Mandela explained how he has helped transform South Africa with his entrepreneurial skills in property. His hotel group Sun International has become the most successful in South Africa.

Kaiane commented "It was an honour to give out the awards to property professionals who are so important to the world economy. Sol Kerzner has done so much in his life and he is an inspiration to everyone who knows what he has achieved".
