Many great things have happened to Aslihan Sabanci in the past 20 years, but it all started with Miss World. Aslihan Sabanci represented Turkey in the 41st Miss World on December 28, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) where she was amongst the Top Ten semi-finalists. Since competing in the contest at the age of 18, she chose to study abroad in Texas majoring in Economics.
Whilst studying in Milan and New York, Aslihan also worked as a model. Aslihan has received qualifications in:
- Masters in Business Administration
- Financial Management
- Masters Degree in the Essentials of Hospitality Management
- Foodservice Management
- Hospitality Marketing
- Plant Based Nutrition
During her career, Aslihan joined a private equity investment firm where she became a founding shareholder. Currently she serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In her free time, Aslihan write columns for magazines and has recently published her first book ‘Glutensiz Gurme Lezzetler’ (Gluten Free Mediterranean Gourmet Cuisine) 2011. This book is a first of its kind, introducing readers to gluten free Turkish cuisine. Aslihan’s book became a National Bestseller and she is currently working on its International release with earnings going to children with cancer in Turkey.
In 2002, Aslihan got married and now is the proud mother of three children.
