The Miss World top three, with Chairman of Miss World Julia Morley, will be visiting Kenya to support the project which won the Beauty with a Purpose award at Miss World 2010. Natasha Metto was the winner of the Beauty with a Purpose award at the Miss World 2010 final in Sanya, China, for her work in trying to combat the jigger worm epidemic in her home country.
Miss World Alexandria Mills, Miss World Africa Emma Wareus and Miss World 2nd Runner-Up Adriana Vasini of Venezuela will all be travelling to Kenya to learn about the anti-jigger campaign and meet those affected.
Natasha has volunteered her time to educate people about the blood-sucking worm, which burrows under the skin of the foot causing irritation and damage. By visiting areas where the problem is most prevalent, Natasha has raised awareness of the necessary precautions to avoid the worm, as well as offering treatment.
