Brazil and Ivorian players were careful to keep their eyes on the ball and not on the Miss World representatives who attended their match at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg last night. The young ladies travelled to the stadium on the Rea Vaya bus, showcasing the safety and efficiency of the city’s public transport.

Brazil and Cote D’Ivoire shared the support of their fellow Miss World representatives as they watched on from the stands. Australia’s Sophie Lavers was amazed by the atmosphere “I can’t believe the noise, the vevuzelas are amazing. The way they fill the stadium is electric.” She said.

Germany’s Maike Frohlingsdorf commented “It is the same excitement as the German World Cup but the stadiums are beautiful and the atmosphere is great. It is amazing how South Africans support teams other than their own”.
