April 14th Kaiane on 'Chiambretti Night', Italy

Miss World Kaiane Aldorino from Gibraltar travels back from Milan today after appearing in popular Italian TV show, Chiambretti Night, yesterday. Miss Aldorino was star guest on the show, which was themed around the Nostradamus prophesies’ prediction that the world will come to an end in 2012.

It is thought that beauty is the only thing that can save the world, which is why Miss World was special guest on the programme. The other celebrity guest was Renucio Boscolo, who is the most celebrated Italian interpreter of Nostradamus’ revelations.

Miss World came into the studio to rapturous applause from the live audience who listened intently to her every word during the interview with host Piero Chiambretti. She talked about the Miss World final, the reaction of her country and family to her win and also the highlights of her reign. The crowed applauded her when she explained how touched she was to meet disadvantaged children from Variety the Children’s Charity in Vancouver and also how she stayed up for 24 hours helping to raise $7.4 million at the telethon event.

Then they showed clips from the Miss World Final and Kaiane’s homecoming to Gibraltar, where the government closed business early so citizens could take to the streets to support their new hero.

At the end of the two hour programme, Kaiane performed a dance routine with the show’s dancers, one of whom used to dance with Michael Jackson.

Chiambretti Night is one of Italy’s most popular TV shows. The programme aired from 12.00am-02.00am on Wednesday 14th April 2010.
