7th October 2010 CONTESTANTS ARE AWESTRUCK OVER SHANGHAI’S NIGHTIME SKYLINE

When you compete in Miss World, you should expect the best treatment.  That is what this year’s contestants received when they took a private boat tour of Shanghai’s famous river district.

On their first night in the world class city, the young women cruised the river in amazement as their charter boat passed the many incredible neon-lit skyscrapers which fill your view at every turn.

The deck was crowded as the girls gathered to take photographs and generally just soak up the amazing atmosphere of Shanghai at night.

“I’ve seen this in magazines and on TV but to see it in real life is a real treat,’ said Trinidad and Tobago.  “I am amazed by the incredible lighting on these huge buildings.”  

Costa Rica added:  “It’s a sight to remember for a long time, that’s for sure.  I am so excited to be here.”

After the luxury cruise, the contestants returned to their hotel in Shanghai, alive with the spirit of the city at night.
