17th November Interview with Paraguay about Talent Performance |
Nicole Vera represented the country of Paraguay in this year’s Miss World talent round and found herself in the top 10 finalists. Nicole performed a choreographed routine illustrative of her Countries traditional dance. The choreography was created from unconventional movements from the beginnings of civilization in Paraguay. The music was created with unconventional instruments giving a sense of ritual, using the body as a percussion in order to express the innate power within. Energy of the earth, fire, water, wind and metal (the five elements), combined to delight the senses and let it fly the imagination of the spectator.
Nicole describes her talent to us: ‘Dancing is one of my biggest passions; I have been dancing since I was 8 years old - jazz, contemporary and ballet. I have competed several times in Brazil and Argentina. I took Latin dance classes which included salsa, meringue, mambo reggae and Brazilian rhythms. Dancing is the way that I express myself!’
