16th June Miss World 2009 is special guest judge

Miss World 2009 Kaiane Aldorino was invited as a special guest judge to the 2011 Northern Ireland final, held in Belfast on Monday night. The event also celebrated 25 years of the competition, with almost all of the previous winners in attendance, from 1987's winner Majella Byrne through to last year's winner and Miss World Sportswoman champion at Miss World 2010 in Sanya, Lori Moore.

Kaiane said: "I had a wonderful stay in Northern Ireland. Being on the judging panel was challenging. There were 22 contestants all of which stood a great chance to winning the title on the night. All the girls looked stunning on the night."

But there could only be one winner, and it was Finola Guinnane from Belfast who took the title. The 22 year-old business studies student will now represent Northern Ireland at the 2011 Miss World Final in London in November.
