Miss World 2009 to Receive the Honorary Freedom of the City of Gibraltar

Miss World 2009, Kaiane Aldorino is set to receive the Honorary Freedom of the City of Gibraltar at 6pm, on the 15th September 2011.

The special ceremony will take place at the Piazza in the John Mackintosh Square, Gibraltar, and the conferment will be carried out by the Mayor of Gibraltar, Julio Alcantara.

Kaiane will be the first female to receive the Freedom of the City merit since its inauguration in 1962, serving as a pillar of inspiration for women and Gibraltarians alike.

Since being crowned Miss World in 2009, Kaiane has worked tirelessly to support and uphold the “Beauty With A Purpose” motto to inspire and help others.

Kaiane was overwhelmed by the news, “It is a great honour as a very proud Gibraltarian, and something I never expected, and to achieve this so soon as well. I have received many messages of congratulations and my family is extremely happy."
