11th June Excitement builds at Official Opening Ceremony

Perla Beltran who is representing Mexico today met the President of Mexico Felipe Calderón an hour before the opening ceremony of the World Cup begins at Johannesburg’s Soccer City Stadium.

The Miss World team representatives are among the special guests at South African broadcaster SABC’s television studio at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Mexico face host country South Africa in the opening game of the tournament today. Perla Beltran commented “It was amazing to meet the President of my country here in South Africa. Everyone is so excited to be here and we are honored to be involved in the celebrations”.
