Over the past year the charity has cared for over 1370 veterans between the ages of 24 to 103 providing first class nursing and medical care.
Katharine Brown said: “Having been Miss Scotland and currently being Miss UK, the title of ‘young ambassador’ for Erskine is one crown I will truly cherish and it is a real honour to be representing the veterans’ charity.
“Having met the veterans and many dedicated care and volunteering staff at Erskine today, I’m really looking forward to getting involved with the charity and helping to support and promote the fantastic work that is carried out.”
Major Jim Panton said: “Katharine recently hosted one of our large fundraising events and it was apparent that she would be an ideal ‘young ambassador’ for our charity.
“I was very impressed with Katharine’s energy and enthusiasm and was delighted when she accepted our invitation. The veterans were thrilled to meet Katharine today and they are very grateful for her support.”
