Kaiane travels to Johannesburg for soccer tournament

Miss World Kaiane Aldorino has arrived in South Africa for the soccer World Cup - one of the world’s great sporting events. She has arrived in anticipation of the tournament beginning on Friday and there is already an incredible atmosphere throughout the country.

Miss World has had a presence at a number of recent soccer events. In November 2008 Miss World candidates from the competing nations made the draw for the 2009 Confederations Cup live on television.

At the 2009 Miss World competition in South Africa all 112 contestants were special guests at the FIFA Fan Fest where Long Street in Cape Town played host to a street carnival to celebrate the World Cup Draw. The 2009 contestants officially unveiled Durban Stadium and visited Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

However this will be the first time Kaiane has experienced an International soccer event, she said “It’s a great feeling to be back in South Africa and I can’t wait until the tournament begins. Everyone here is smiling and the whole nation is excited!”
