24th January "Hope for Children" donation presented

The official launch for this year's Malaysia competition took place last Friday in Kuala Lumpur. Miss World Alexandria Mills, Miss World Africa Emma Wareus, and Chairman of Miss World Organisation Julia Morley were in attendance at the ceremony, where it was announced that the Malaysia Final will take place on 20th August 2011.

Joining them were 2009's Malaysia representative Thanuja Ananthan, and India's Manasvi Mamgai, reuniting with Alexandria and Emma for the first time since the Miss World 2010 Final.

The event was also marked by the presentation of a cheque for 150,000 RM to launch the "1 Million Sewing Machines for India", as part of the "Hope For Children" program.
