 | 4th January Quiet Christmas and New Year for reigning Miss World |
It was a quiet Christmas break for new Miss World, Kaiane Aldorino, as she spent time at home with her family in Gibraltar. During the holiday period she relaxed by singing Christmas songs, playing traditional games and visiting close friends.
For Christmas, Kaiane received a video camera as a special present from her parents. “It is great because now I can document my travels during my reign as Miss World. It even works under water!” she said.
All of Kaiane’s friends and relatives were keen to see her over the Christmas period. “They wanted to congratulate me, but they were also thinking that they might not see me much this year, as I will be very busy” she added.
When talking about her amazing welcoming when she arrived back in Gibraltar, Kaiane said “I knew it would be big, but not that big! I haven’t even had a chance to go to Main Street. Everywhere I go people stop to talk to me”.
Kaiane will soon embark on a tour of Asia, starting on January 10, including joining in with celebrations to mark the fifth anniversary of Variety Club Japan.
