Miss World stars shine at the Cannes Film Festival

Aishwarya Rai and Zhang Zilin are in Cannes for the 64th Cannes Film Festival, the world's most famous celebration of cinema, which runs until the 22nd May. Over the weekend, Bollywood superstar Aishwarya has been lighting up the famous red carpet up to the Grand Théâtre Lumière, where the films in competition for the main festival prize, the Palme D'Or, are screened. Zilin, who recently saw her first feature film "Underdog Knight 2" released in cinemas across China, following premieres and press tours in Beijing and Shanghai. Miss World 1994 and Miss World 2007 are both spokespersons for L'Oréal Paris, official partner of the Cannes Film Festival and sponsors of the Opening and Closing nights. This year's Cannes Film Festival President of the Jury is actor and filmmaker Robert De Niro, while some of the stars who have already made appearances at premieres for their films screening at the festival include Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, and Penelope Cruz. |
