26th January Launch of this year's competition

Miss World Alexandria Mills, Miss World Africa Emma Wareus, and Chairman of the Miss World Organisation Julia Morley arrived in Manila to attend the launch of this year's contest to find a representative from the Philippines to compete at Miss World 2011. The search will begin in March, with the national final expected to be held in August.

Their time in the Philippines was spent with visits to the Philippine General Hospital, the Tuloy Street Children Foundation’s facilities in Alabang, and the Ospital ng Makati. Through "Beauty With A Purpose", more funds will be raised to support the PGH Medical Foundation and the Tuloy Street Children Foundation in providing better care and facilities for the children who benefit from their work.
