6th December Nicola Mimnagh is announced as Miss United Kingdom

Scotland's Nicola Mimnagh has been announced as the new Miss United Kingdom. This is the second time in a row for Scotland after Katharine Brown's successful year.

At Miss World 2010, Nicola was selected by the judging panel as one of the top 25 semi-finalists, and also made the top 20 at the Beach Beauty Final. During her time in Sanya, she also attended the LGPA Women's Golf Open, and travelled to Qiong Zhong in Hainan to deliver relief supplies to those affected by the floods that had recently devastated the island.

As Miss United Kingdom, Nicola will now go on to represent the United Kingdom at the 2011 Miss International Final.
