Before we talk about “suicide hotlines”, let us ALSO talk about “suicide prevention”.
For me, the “greatest agent to positive change” is being “authentically kind”.
Kindness is shown in your “words” AND “actions”.
Before we speak, write, talk to others, etc:
Let us ask ourselves:
Is it necessary?
Is it true?
Is it helpful?
Do we have enough information?
Are we biased in our reporting?
What is our end goal?
Today, I encourage you all to make a habit of checking in on people and truly being there for one another.
Only by having an open heart and engaging in sincere dialogues, can we create everlasting positive change.
